School Meals

In line with our Healthy Eating policy, Warwickshire County Caterers have introduced new healthy eating menus which are proving very popular with the children at Our Lady's School. We encourage new children  to try school meals without obligation and allow healthy packed lunches if these are preferred.

As of September 2014 all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school lunch, under the new Government's Universal Infant Free Schools Meals programme.

To change from packed lunches to school meals or vise versa we require one week's notice. The weekly  charge for school meals for Years 3 - 6 is currently £10.50 per week (£2.10 per day). Dinner money should be handed in by the child to the class teacher on Mondays in an envelope clearly labelled Dinner Money, with the child's name and amount also written on. If your child is going to arrive at school after 9:30 am and requires a school meal please phone the school office before 9:30 and order their meal - see the menu at bottom of the page for the choices.

Some families are entitled to Free School Meals and further details are available from Mrs Davenport in the school office and on the county caterers website. This information is protected under the data protection act, so Mrs Davenport is the only person who has a record of those who are entitled to free school meals.

With the introduction of Universal Free School Meals for infants it is still vital that Parents who would have been entitled under the old system continue to register as this is the trigger for Pupil Premium funding.
