School Meals
Children may bring a healthy packed lunch from home or enjoy a meal provided by the school. Our healthy and tasty school meals are freshly made on site each day by our kitchen team from Educaterers.
Daily menus are provided over a three-week rotation and children choose each day which option they would like. There are four options to chose from including a jacket potato and cold option. We also offer a salad bar which the children can help themselves too.
We are also happy to accommodate children with specific dietary requirements.
In line with our Healthy Eating policy, Educaterers have introduced new healthy eating menus which are proving very popular with the children at Our Lady's School. We encourage new children to try school meals without obligation and allow healthy packed lunches if these are preferred.
Please see Weekly Menu choice (as well as cold Deli options) available below.
The weekly charge for school meals for Nursery and Years 3 - 6 is currently £14.75 per week (£2.95 per day).
Parents are requested to pay in all dinner money online via ParentPay if possible. (Please call in to the school office for your login details.) Cash should be handed to the class teacher on Mondays in an envelope clearly labelled Dinner Money, with the child's name and amount also written on. Unfortunately, we no longer accept cheque payments for school dinners.
If your child is going to arrive at school after 9:30am and requires a school meal please phone the school office before 9:30am and order their meal.
Universal Free School Meals
As of September 2014 all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school lunch, under the new Government's Universal Infant Free Schools Meals programme.
Free School Meals
At Our Lady's, we are committed to ensuring that all children have access to healthy and nutritious meals, including the provision of Free School Meals for those who qualify. The Free School Meals programme plays an important role in supporting families and promoting pupils’ wellbeing, helping children to focus on their learning without concerns about food.
We encourage eligible families to apply for Free School Meals, as this support benefits both their child and the wider school by enabling access to additional funding for resources and enrichment activities. Parents are invited to check their eligibility and take part in this valuable programme, which supports children’s education and overall health.
Parents can apply online using the following link:
With the introduction of Universal Free School Meals for infants it is still vital that Parents who would have been entitled under the old system continue to register as this is the trigger for Pupil Premium funding.

Parents who have children with allergies should alert the school and complete a form. The kitchen staff have access to names and photographs to enable them to avoid giving food to children that have allergies.
Epi pens are available in the office. We have an emergency school epi-pen in case a child goes into anaphylaxis without us knowing they have an allergy. Staff have mandatory training on an annual basis.
